Trent Green will be traded.

Someone is going to get a fine quarterback when Kansas City trades Trent Green. Probably the Dolphin's will end up with him. Possibly the Browns. Kansas City will get a much needed draft pick out of the deal and will avoid a quarterback controversy this season. I like Trent Green but from what I saw last season, I can't help but think that Damon Hourd is the guy we need to have running the Chiefs offense. So hey Trent, we love ya. Good riddance to you.

Well, It's obvious to just about everyone that Trent Green will be on the Miami Dolphins this season. Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle will be the only two quarterbacks on the K.C. Chiefs roster. They will be fighting for the number 1 spot. Yet General Manager Carl Peterson decides to degrade both of these players to play a bluff when everyone in the world already knows his hand. Peterson told ESPN that "if the season started today, Trent Green would be our starting quarterback".
I like Carl Peterson but that was one dumb ass thing to say on ESPN. Why would Huard and Croyle even want to play for a team that puts them second behind the guy they are trying to trade away. I'd be angry as hell.
I can't imagine the Dolphins are dumb enough to say "oh, they might keep Green if we don't give away a draft pick".
Kansas City can't even hurt the Dolphins by holding on to Green until mini-camps are over. Green already knows the Miami offense and the head coach and the quarterback coach have both coached Green in the past.
The best the Chiefs can hope for now is a box of chocolates and some Disney World tickets. They better hope that Huard and Croyle still care about the franchise at all.

Well here it is 3 weeks later and they still haven't traded Green. K.C. better get off the pot on this one.
Green is set to attend Kansas City's upcoming OTA (Organized Team Activity) sessions Monday. The Chiefs cannot bar Green from participating in the OTAs, which are scaled-down versions of minicamp practices, and would have to guarantee his 2007 base salary of $7.2 million if he suffered a season-ending injury.

Ben I'm starting to get the impression that you like to see Green off the Kansas City Chiefs Roster!

It's not so much that I really want to see him traded. I wouldn't mind if he had become a franchise player. The fact is that he is going to be traded. If he isn't going to be traded than a spot on the roster is going to be wasted. I can't imagine Green getting the starting job now after all the off season maneuvering. Here it is the end of May and the Chiefs and the Dolphins are screwing things up for both teams and for Trent's career as well.
