I'm always amazed at how people manage to throw away their careers.

If I was the creative director of an art gallery in a hotel, I certainly hope I would have enough sense to know that I would be throwing away my career if I decided to display a six foot tall, anatomically correct, milk chocolate, statue of Jesus during holy week. DUH!!! Matt Semler, the creative director in question, resigned in protest when the exhibit was canceled after a public outcry. Semler said "They jumped to conclusions completely contrary to our intentions." Well sorry Matt. Why don't you explain the intention of a six foot tall, anatomically correct statue of Jesus in a hotel lobby during holy week. Have fun looking for another job dumb ass.

Looks like GeorgeOA won't be having Easter at his house. It has sort of become the norm to have Easter there but his work schedule will not permit him to have the time (or the rest) needed to pull it off. I talked to Patty41 about having it here but she doesn't think that we could pull it together in time either.

We had a quiet Easter at home with just a few of the kids and grandkids. We didn't do the ham and mashed potatoes meal. We just threw a few burgers and dogs on the grill. No Easter egg hunts or anything like that. Nikki and Harold and Mark and Mike were here. So were McKayla and Santos. It was a pretty laid back affair.
