We have an awards show for just about everything. I think there is even a reality t.v. award show. I think it’s about time we take another step down the disgusting slide of humanity. Let’s have an award show for all the people that get in the news and decide to make it their fifteen minutes of fame.
I would like to nominate the McConnell and Wismer families of Flint Michigan for the “Families in Crisis” award.
After the McConnell’s told their 13 year old daughter she couldn’t see her 15 year old boyfriend, the children decided to steal the family van (and the family dog oddly enough) and run away.
A true Romeo and Juliet story. Also a crises that these families should have handled privately along with law enforcement personnel.
Right.
This is obviously a story that is just tailor made for “Inside Edition”. What a lovely nine days it must have been. How lucky they were to get the call from Louisiana telling them their children were found safe and sound while “Inside Edition” was in their house with the camera rolling.
How touching to have a hundred lights on tripods and three separate camera angles when the mom got to get emotional and tell the world what she was going to tell her child when they got back together. Something about missing and loving I think it was.
Great television.
It’s really getting hard to turn on the t.v. without getting a little nauseous these days.
Hopefully, the new show on Fox “Moment of Truth” will bring real honesty and integrity back to television. It’s got a polygraph machine so it must right?
Maybe “Inside Edition” should make it a rule that if you invite them into your home, you have to wear a polygraph.
It’s just one more small step down that slide.
